If you made a submission/speaking proposal for the 2020 (ISC)2 Security Congress, please check your email as decision notifications have been sent out.
With the pandemic and the decision to go virtual, we needed to scale down the conference program. To that end, we only selected 45 out of the 419 submissions that we received. For comparison, we had 180+ sessions at Congress last year.
There were a lot of great proposals and content that we just could not accommodate this year and we are looking at options on how we might be able to leverage and present these in 2021. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me and I'll answer what I can.
Thanks to everyone who submitted and helped with the review process.

Wow! That blows me away. I would have never expected that a virtual event would have to be smaller in scope than an in-person event. I would be interested (as I expect others would be) to see an analysis of how this breaks down in case we ever have to put on a virtual event for our own companies; there are obviously factors that we haven't even considered. Perhaps, when planning the 2021 event, it would be helpful to reach out to others who have done this successfully before, like All Day DevOps (maybe some of them are here as well?) would be helpful in planning the 2021 event.
