I am rather surprise that the Exam Peace of Mind Protection is only valid for first timer that is going to take the first exam for the specific certification.
Why was it not offer to other that failed the first time and is currently going for a second run?
If true, I agree.
Organizations like BCSP (Safety) and SME offer such packages to help in the event of a catastrophic failure. (life happens) .. Hopefully you will get an answer.

The Peace of Mind promotion is for those first-time test takers who are thinking about scheduling their exam but are hesitant. Peace of Mind is aimed at giving them a confidence boost to help them schedule their exam (instead of putting it off).
The clear cut-off dates on the Peace of Mind vouchers are aligned with exam deliveries for these first-time exam candidates. Depending on the date of the last attempt at an exam, the required number of test-free days between exam attempts can exceed the expiration date of the Peace of Mind voucher.
Probably ISC2 can review the promotion package and also includes those that are taking the 2nd time. Just for consideration 🙂
If a candidate has availed peace of Mind for one stream i.e CISSP and passed the exam.
Can they now avail Peace of Mind for another stream like CGRC or CCSP?
@waliji Thank you for reaching out via the ISC2 Community board.
Yes, you may be eligible for Peace of Mind for another exam type.
Terms and Conditions:
"To be eligible for Peace of Mind Protection, you must not have attempted the certification exam within the last 12 months, and you must purchase the exam voucher with Peace of MInd Protection from ISC2. If you have attempted the certification exam within the past 12 months this offer is not applicable."
Thanks for clarification and prompt response.
