Hi everyone,
I signed up as an ISC² Candidate back in 2023 but never got the chance to sit for the free Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) exam. My account is now showing as suspended for non-payment of the Candidate fee.
Since I never actually used the free exam/training, I’m wondering:
Can ISC² re-activate my Candidate account so I can still use my one free CC attempt?
If I pay the $50 Candidate fee to restore my account, will I definitely still be eligible for the free CC exam attempt (given that I have never scheduled or taken it)?
If not, are there any student discounts, installment plans, or regional pricing options for the Candidate fee and exam?
I’m a full-time university student and really want to continue on the ISC² path, but the cost is tough right now. Has anyone here faced something similar? Any advice would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, if you have not registered for the one (1) free CC exam, you are still eligible.
Per the ISC2 1 Million in Cybersecurity pledge, Each ISC2 Candidate is eligible for one free registration. You must be an ISC2 Candidate to sit for free; all future CC registrations in your name must be purchased at cost.
If your account has been suspended due to a lapse in payment of Candidate dues, you'll need to bring your account up to date first.
Unfortunately, there are no student discounts, installment plans, or regional pricing options for the Candidate fee and exam.
I wil send you a private message.
