My account is a bit old, i registered a couple of years ago , let the membership lapse but its reactivated now for a while and have been studying. I follow the instructions to register for free for the CC cert exam however the page for my courses and exams is empty, I am a candidate member with an active membership that I paid the 50$, can I still get the free exam? never have taken it before at all.
I think the window to take the exam for free is only a year. I am not sure why you paid before passing the exam. I'll be following to see what others have to say.
Yes, you should still be entitled to the free exam. Since you have never taken the CC exam before and your Candidate status is currently active (confirmed by your $50 payment).
Try following Steps to Fix issue:
1) The "Hard Refresh" Trick: Log out completely. Clear your browser cache & cookies (this is the #1 fix recommended by ISC2 support for this specific issue). Log back in and check the "Courses and Exams" section again. Also try in Private mode (firefox) or Incognito mode (Chrome)
2) Re-enroll via the Landing Page: Instead of looking in your dashboard, go directly to the Free CC Exam Instructions. Click the "Register for Exam" button there. If the system recognizes your active Candidate status, it should allow you to "purchase" the exam for $0.
3) If the page is still blank, The Solution is contact member support, here is the Email: membersupport@isc2.org.
Subject: Empty Courses/Exams Page - Reactivated Candidate Membership
Include: Your ISC2 ID number and a screenshot of your empty "Courses and Exams" page. Mention that you have paid your $50 AMF and have never used the free exam attempt.
Thanks
