Newcomer asking for recommendations

Hello everyone,

I'm a little late to the community, got my CISSP certification June 2018, my first certification and surprisingly got it done in one run. Now I'm looking into what to do going forward. Should I go backwards and get some of the easier certs? Any recommendation for my situation since I kinda just jumped right into CISSP?

Thank you and look forward to talking with you all.

Go get the Security Plus. You're already mostly trained for it. And you can get CPEs for it from ISC2.

I don't see any value in going after "easy" certs like those from CompTIA.

I would instead recommend looking at 'specialist' or focused certs in that area(s) you want to do in infosec.

There are certs for pentesting, auditing, secure coding, cloud, etc.  Look at those.
