Hi and thanks,

This is my LinkedIn Profile:: www.linkedin.com/in/dr-shuyler-finley/ (remove the space and add HTTPS

I have been effectively Discarded/Pushed Out/Shoveled out of work for which I am Highly Qualified, and work that I Love with all my heart.

Just as in Britain, women were shoveled out of computing if they married, or if they had 'spent too long' doing the work for thirty-five years there (and, their policy led to the eventual collapse of British computer manufacturing in that country) . . I have been forced out of my longstanding career in cybersecurity.

The 'new washington policies' that are utterly/completely against women in any sort of work (Example: pete hegseth just Denied promotions to four army officers Because two are white women and two are black. The operative concept is that they are female.

Those same policies have choked me out of my Chosen Profession. I have been Forced Out of cyber, and have been constrained to take work at the US Post Office
because I Have To Have  An Income. My 'new income' is barely one-fourth of my previous wage.

For Two Years and Nine Months I looked for work, consistently, energetically, and with fortitude and verve. Over 1800 job submissions/applications. That is over
ONE THOUSAND and EIGHT HUNDRED job applications.
Proving beyond a doubt that the 'problem' is not with Me or my Qualifications, but with my "gender."

Now, I am Entry Level at the US Post Office . . with 27 Years Experience, ALL of the required DEGREES (and more) and All of the needed Certifications.

And at this time, the NEED for PEOPLE in Cyber is Beyond Critical, still, according to government sources.

It makes absolutely No Logical Sense. Something large somewhere is run by knuckleheads.

The knowledge that my talent is being wasted is Devastating to me, absolutely DEVASTATING.

(I spent 10.5 years getting postsecondary education Dedicated to My 'Profession . .  wasted . . ).

Before anyone wishes to pipe up and criticize, or denigrate, or try to put any blame upon me . . PUT youself in my situation.

tkx,

Hi there,

I just put my city location in the header of my 'Seeking Work' post. I gently suggest that you do something similar. It just makes it easier for others to see where you are.

You at least HAVE work. I've been looking for 2.5 years. One short contract . . and that's it.
