Job purpose

As a Cloud Security Architect you will work on our Altium 365 project (altium.com/altium-365).  Altium 365 is a comprehensive cloud platform for simplifying customers data management and collaboration which includes 3D visualization, real-time commenting, workflow engine, git-based versioned design storage and more.  It is the world’s only cloud platform for printed circuit board design and realization. 

 

Duties and responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for implementing and developing systems that help us monitor security threats.  You will play a key part in architecting, building and supporting a real-time alert and monitoring platform.  You will also work closely with our development teams to establish and define application security best practices, perform software architecture and design reviews to elevate the security resilience of our code base.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate with third-party testing companies
  • Aid in identifying threats before they occur
  • Respond to security incidents and aid in developing impact studies
  • Develop strategies and tools to harden the application and platform
  • Mentor other engineers and evangelizing security practices

Qualifications

We are looking for an engineer to help protect us and our customers from security threats.  Someone who is skilled and experienced in risk identification and mitigation and stays up to date on the latest security threats and trends in the security field.  The ideal candidate has a strong background in vulnerability testing, application hardening, and platform resiliency from attacks.

Qualifications include:

  • BS in Computer Science or related engineering field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in cloud security, preferably with AWS
  • A deep understanding of common web application vulnerabilities
  • Experience with highly scalable cloud-based systems and services and the tools available to defend them
  • Experience in monitoring and alerting solutions
  • CCSP or CISSP certification (or willingness to obtain within 3-6 months of employment)

Additional preferred experience includes:

  • Team leadership skills
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, C#, and the .Net platform
  • Zabbix/Grafana/Prometheus
  • Docker
  • ELK
  • AWS security certification
