Trying to become a member of the Los Angeles chapter.

It says that there is only one member in the Los Angeles Chapter, is this true? I want to become a member, and I graduate college in April, can anyone help?

Can't be. The chapter regs require a minimum of four executive members, so
having only one member is a good indication that the chapter is dormant or
defunct.

You do have two possible pieces of good news: the San Diego Chapter is definitely
active, and they post announcements of their meetings over in the Chapters
board. I'm pretty sure that they would welcome you with open arms, for the
virtual meetings at the present time, and they aren't that far away from you when
the time comes for "actual" meetings 🙂 Their next meeting is March 11, I think.

In addition, the Vancouver Chapter is quite active.

We accept any interested parties, and are also pretty active with online meetings.
We are also very big on students and those new to the profession. Our next
meeting is March 12. We also have a series of meetings with another group going
on right now, details are at
https://community.isc2.org/t5/C/V/m-p/42919
The next meeting is tomorrow, Feb. 16, at 7PM (Pacific time). (No charge for
Vancouver membership or either set of meetings.)

The chapter groups here in the community were something newly created for all the chapters, but some group are still not leveraging them yet.  That is why you only see the one member.  The majority of chapters all have their own websites and tools.

For the Los Angeles chapter, you can learn more about them and even join through their website at https://www.isc2losangeleschapter.org/.
