Social Engineering - Guest Post Opportunity

Good morning,

We are looking for an (ISC)2 member who is knowledgeable about social engineering to write a guest post on this topic for the Center for Cyber Safety and Education weekly blog.

https://iamcybersafe.org/s/newsarticle/NewsArticle__c/00B0f000009k5fvEAA

The audience is parents and educators. We are looking for an article that includes tips, things to look out for, what to do in case of. Around 500 words, but we are flexible.

Feel free to send me a note if interested with your member ID and written sample if you have one.

Beatriz - bparres@isc2.org

We are looking for someone who can commit to write this blog within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks!

"Social engineering" is a fancy term for "lying." Don't believe everything you
read.

([pr0n filter]. What am I going to do for the next 487 words?)

We're ALL agnostic. Believers don't KNOW there's a god but still
believe, and atheists don't KNOW there's a god so decide not to
believe - https://twitter.com/rickygervais/status/404689964866478080

My very most favoritest (and least harmful) social engineering incident ever is the

Best Buy Uniform Prank

Note that in the taxonomy of the net, social engineering generally refers to lying in a phone call or face-to-face, as opposed to phishing by lying in e-mail.

Oh, and as a side issue, there are sources online to buy genuine or genuine-looking uniform items for public utilities and service companies.
