Online Pen Testing course? Looking for recommendation

I saw this link but the price made me suspicious - reduced 96%??

https://thehackernews.com/2017/07/ethical-hacking-online-training.html?platform=hootsuite

Can anyone recommend any online pen testing courses - I can read up on the theory and methods beyond what I already know, but what I'd really like is something that can get me hands on on the tools to gain extra experience...

Thanks!

Why not build your own lab and hack it yourself? Look on ebay/Amazon/Craigslist for older equipment and build a network. Then attack it. Download free virtual machine software and build some hosts. Check your local state/government/city surplus sites for older IT equipment. Doing it this way will not only get you penetration testing experience but will give you the knowledge that will further your pen-testing career.

Google "free CTF" (capture the flag) and see if anything comes up. I know there used to be some free ones out there.

Good evening to you, might be worth looking at this site, some good resources. https://www.cybrary.it/ Also have a look here - https://www.owasp.org/index.php/OWASP_Hacking_Lab

The training Penetration Testing with Kali Linux course for the Offensive Security Certified Practitioner (OSCP) is both comprehensive and challenging:

https://www.offensive-security.com/information-security-training/penetration-testing-training-kali-l...

It is a prerequisite for the OSCP test.  The training includes access to a cyber range.  The range is in use by all current students, which to a degree simulates real life where there are actual hackers targeting and exploiting the systems that you are assessing.  Although you learn the basics of penetration testing, you also learn the methods used by the majority of hackers short of actually reverse engineering and discovering 0-day exploits for yourself.

Sincerely,

Eric B.

Thanks very much CISO Scott! Space is fairly limited for me, but I will definitely look up CTF opportunities.
