Being a grandparent, this article really resonated with me.

 

But it also raises some really interesting points about how we do security awareness, and even mentoring, in our field.

Reminds me of educating users about events, incidents and weakness reporting.  You have to create an environment in which they feel that they're helping, rather than one in which the security expert is all knowing.
