Can I wear head scarf

I am going to attend the ISC2 exam. Just want to know if I can wear a head scarf or not. I am willing to show my face along with not covering my ears. So is it acceptable if I wear a head scarf but not covering my face and ears?

I believe that the answer would be yes however this question is best posed to Customer Service (https://isc2.org/contact-us) or even Exam Administration ( should be on that site).

I would be truly amazed if they or Pearson disallow.  Please update us with the answer that you receive.

Actually, maybe @mariatirado would be able to get an answer for us.

I would probably make a point to go to the Pearson Vue site that intend to test at to ask.  While there should be a standard (I am guessing that would fall into the same category as hats), the individual sites may have different takes on it.  You don't want to get an answer from ISC2 or Pearson Vue and get to a site that does not agree with it.  The less stress the better when going for testing.

Thank you for contacting the ISC2 Community. Scarf for religous reasons would be allowed, however it would need to be visually inspected prior to entering the testing area.

The official rules state:

Masks, hats, scarves and coats may not be worn for your photo, as the full face must be clearly visible. You also can’t wear these items in the test room.

They also state:

ISC2 provides reasonable and appropriate accommodations for its exams for those who have demonstrated a need for them. Please contact ISC2 first. Do not start by scheduling through Pearson VUE’s website or through their main registration phone line.

Presuming you are referring to a hijab, that is a pretty common religious accommodation which I would anticipate to be accepted, but do read and follow the rules and procedures to ensure a smooth, low-stress test-day.
