Cybersecurity Skills Journal: Practice and Research is a hybrid-access scholarly publication focused exclusively on cybersecurity skills. It seeks to raise the capability maturity of the cybersecurity workforce through open and free dissemination of research on evidence-based practices and private access to digital tools and practice guides.
The journal is international in scope and is uniquely positioned to reach both academic and practitioner audiences. Upon publication, Cybersecurity Skills Journal (CSJ) articles are distributed widely to individuals and organizations through the National CyberWatch Center Digital Press and affiliated publishing organizations, and are available to a global audience of over 300 institutions and 35,000 potential readers.
Writing a paper on skills development --your research of effective practices, or a theoretical article or case studies-- not only helps others learn what actually works, but if your paper is published, you can earn CPEs for your ISC(2) cert.
CSJ seeks to advance knowledge and practice in all areas of the cybersecurity profession with papers addressing areas such as:
Are you a practitioner with an idea, but you've never written a paper before? Do you have a draft paper that doesn't seem to fit with other peer-reviewed journals? The CSJ editorial process will help authors of promising content develop their paper.

(But these days I prefer opining 🙂
(Besides, I've got more than enough CPEs ...)
This new journal is being developed by the National Cyberwatch Center, an organization in the USA supported by the National Science Foundation. It has over 400 colleges, universities, and corporations as members, as well as numerous cybersecurity professionals not affiliated with one of the member institutions.

Thanks - it's not really *my* venture, but a cause I believe in... uh...wait, no, let me walk that back: it is a purpose I am willing to spend time on.
And I'm very familiar with your opining. I've been a lurker elsewhere for more than a decade, though almost never post in that other place, although I read more of that content.
