BSIDES is the absolute best bang for the buck security conference I know about and we Texans spent a couple of days in Austin last week with some wonderful presenters and great vendor chats. In case you missed it, here was the schedule this year.
My favorite presentation was by a very entertaining Aamir Lakhani about machine learning called "Rise of the Machines". For a self-professed introvert nerd, he was amazingly funny and incredibly brilliant!
I was also truly impressed by the service manager for Rapid7, Jay Paz. If you work for this guy, you are in a good place. He might be the perfect manager and he gave an impressive presentation about building the right team to do the job.
All in all, this event is not to be missed. Hope to see you all there next year!!
