Does being on an HOA Board count as a Group B credit
It is a Non-Security Government/Private Sector/Charitable Organizations Committee
I would imagine each meeting lasting an hour would count. Proof would be the minutes.
Thanks in advance
Group B is "professional development", not "community service". My personal take is that to the extent that the HOA experience is the former, yes it could count. As you start your HOA journey it likely will teach you leadership strategies, conflict resolution, and team building, all of which I likely would submit because they would easily apply to a professional setting. As things start to get "routine" and my involvement became more about "serving" and less about "learning", I personally would cease claiming CPEs.
Of course, I am just your peer. An official verdict would come from the Auditors and/or Member Services.
Yeah. You are right. Been doing it for going for a while. I am sure I will not run into issues getting 120. I tend to go to conferences and training so this may be making things too complicated.
Thanks for perspective.
