When claiming CPEs for study performed to pass another certification (CRISC, CISM, etc.), can I claim 30 or 40 CPE credits? A number of people, including Admins on this board, have stated 40 CPE credits but (ISC)2's own FAQ states, "you may submit up to 30 CPE credits under the self-study category for the time you spent preparing to obtain the new certification."
Thanks,
Gary
@gidyn Thanks for letting me know.
@robinsgn When in doubt, please refer to the CPE handbook: https://www.isc2.org/-/media/ISC2/Certifications/CPE/MEM-CPE_Handbook-DIGITAL.ashx

These activities include ISACA and One In Tech conferences, seminars, workshops, chapter programs, and meetings and related activities. Certified individuals earn CPE hours according to the number of hours of active participation. (See Calculating CPE Hours section). Participation in ISACA chapter meetings will earn a minimum of one credit hour regardless of actual duration. Please note that chapter programs and meetings are not all currently reported to the ISACA database. Please retain proof of attendance. No limit.
Thanks,
