I was approved as a CISSP on 6/3.
I then passed the CCSP exam on 6/19 and was approved as a CCSP on 6/20.
However, as of 7/22, the 40 CPEs have not yet been automatically added to my CISSP.
Is this normal? How long do I have to wait before I can earn the 40 CPEs?
@Rei There are no automatic CPEs for passing an exam. I am not sure where you got that information. CompTIA does something like that. I believe if you look at the CPE guide that you can claim up to 40 hours of studying for an exam. I have never done that, but you might want to review that if applicable.
@Rei as noted, ISC2 does NOT award CPEs for passing exams, tho other cert bodies do. I know ISACA does.
If you took a CCSP training course, that would give you CPEs.
ALSO, many things you do for CPEs will not be automatically added. In most cases you'll need to add them in.
Thanks to your replies, I now understand how it works.
I have studied for over 40 hours to pass the CCSP exam, so I will register for 40CPE myself while keeping the evidence of that.
