i only finished 53% of the first domain but reached 100% competency, what is the recommended next step here to chose another domain or to continue until i finish the whole content of the first one
My nickel. I would continue through the balance of the Domain. The training materials and the exams are developed by different people and could/can cover different areas of that domain. Also, finishing the current domain will expand your knowledge.

The adaptive nature, from a student perspective, the course appeared to quiz me less on the areas I scored well on, and more on the areas I needed improvement. On the domain overviews I read, "To pass this domain you need to reach 100% progress to competency." When you are answering questions correctly the competency bar may/should be ahead of the content bar.
When I reached competency in a domain, I moved on to the next domain. Feedback from the post-assessment revealed which domains I should review. When I had earned the course completion milestone I booked an exam as soon as I could.
Even though you have reached 100% competency, the recommended next step is to continue until you finish the entire content of the first domain.
The training provided by ISC2 is known for having high-quality content that is meticulously aligned with the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). While your competency score suggests you have a strong grasp of the fundamentals, the remaining 47% of the material may contain: Specific Terminology, Edge Cases and
Contextual Depth to gain maximum knowledge and truly master the domain.
All the best for your studies..!
Thanks
“I totally get that feeling of being confused — especially when you’re dealing with something complex and not immediately clear. Sometimes breaking the problem down step by step helps a lot. Just like when students tackle tricky equations using the texas instruments ti 84 plus graphing calculator to visualize and understand the steps, approaching confusion with a methodical mindset can make things easier to grasp.”
