Im Starting My Cyber Security Career

Well finally decided to start my Cyber Security journey, I don't have any IT background so i would be starting from 0 but i have never backed down from a challenge. I would love to be a part of a group like this where i can come and ask about any question or doubts that i have.

Hi, same here, good to know we have similar interests for a Cyber Security Career, we can probably get a study group going. I believe we have a lot to cover. Let's jump right in and get this group started or join a group that's already create with members of similar interests.

I'm just starting out as well and have zero knowledge. I have done a Levl 2 Principle in cyber security and looking to do more to expand into the ethical hacking world

The tip that I can give to you is: Keep going, I saw some people take the course in 1 or 2 weeks, while I'm taking 1 month, don't compare yourself. At the beginning, everything was so confusing, but now I can understand the basics and correlate with more complex concepts. I'm very happy to perceive that and being confident to the exam, read books, take simulations and videos. This is my experience with the learning, explore the ways that you can catch the content well.

Success!

Best of luck on your cybersecurity journey 👍
Starting from zero is completely fine. I also started with no IT background at all, so you are definitely not alone. What matters most is consistency & mindset, & you already have that.

Just to share my experience. I completed the CC course, studied seriously, and felt very confident. I was scoring around 85 - 90% in mock tests & assessments. Then I gave my exam yesterday… and the exam humbled me badly 😅 I failed, even though I thought I was fully ready.

But no worries. I’m not giving up. I’ll prepare deeper, come back stronger, and hit it hard next time. The exam won this round, not the war 😄.

So keep going, ask questions, and don’t be afraid of setbacks. If I can start from zero, fail once, and still move forward, you can absolutely start from zero and succeed 💪.

If there are any groups or forums you recommend, please feel free to add me. Having the support of this community will really help on this journey
