I’ve been preparing seriously for the ISC2 CC exam. Here’s what’s helping me the most:

📘 Official ISC2 Training Course – I completed their free online course and reviewed all the chapter flashcards.

🧠 Prabh Nair’s YouTube Practice Questions – These helped me understand how questions are framed and what to focus on.

🎧 Mike Chapple’s Audiobook (ISC2 CC Study Guide) – I listen while doing chores or commuting. It’s a great passive way to reinforce the material.

✍️ Rewrite Key Notes by Hand – Writing down concepts from each domain really helps with retention.

🧪 Practice Exams – I’ve been taking full mock exams (especially scenario-based ones) to get used to the format and timing.

🗂Cheat Sheets & Summaries – I condensed the 5 domains into one-pagers for quick review.

Tips I’d recommend for anyone taking ISC2 CC:

  • Don’t just memorize—understand why an answer is correct.

  •  Focus heavily on basic principles: the CIA triad, least privilege, access control types, encryption vs. hashing, and incident response.

  • Review common definitions and what each role (like data owner, custodian, etc.) is responsible for.

  •  Learn how to eliminate wrong answers—many are distractors.

  •  Use memory aids like mnemonics or flashcards for repetitive terms.
  •
