Yes, I would like to Team Up to study for the exam. Let's do this on Discord?
i think a discord will be a good idea
Hey im also studying for the exam and want to know the best way to study for this; knocking the test out first try. Ive tried using the flash card option and wite every term on notecards. After I finish going through the rest of the study material, but my note cards and the rest of my notecards have been lost forcing me to start over; so instead of going the same route if you have any tips to study please let me know.
P.S. I understand this post was made sometime ago ut goodluck with your test and let me know how it went.
@r1ghteousrouter We all learn differently, and knowing your learning style(s) will be your first step. For instance I do not find any benefit to flashcards or study groups. I do know that those really help some people. I read and take practice exams which definitely does not work for most. If flashcards work for you, did you try ISC2's no cost ones? The best advice that I can give other than to know how you learn best is to look at the exam's objectives (ISC2 calls it an exam outline), and determine what you know and don't know of that. This is what ISC2 expects you to know for the exam. They do suggest other references if feel need them. I do know that some people that I have talked to thought that Mike Chapple's book (Sybex produces ISC2 official books) really helped. Others liked additional training from Luke Ahmed or Thor Pedersen. Again your learning style will dictate how you should proceed. It is not an easy exam but is a great first step. Best wishes.
