Best CPE opportunities

Hi, what are the best CPE opportunities for CC holders?
I see ISC2 offers some different courses, skill builders, and webinars, but they don't seem to offer any advice as to which of these should be done by CC holders lacking prior cyber/IT experience.
Nor have I seen any recommended course pathways for moving from CC to higher certifications.

This seems like information that many of us would appreciate having.

For CPE, there is no "best"  CPE opportunities for specifically CC holders. it's all the same for any ISC2 certification like you said course, webinar, infosec professional magazine.

ISC2 first start from a certification body, rather than learning bodies, therefore she does not paint a good course pathway on certification unlike some other certification bodies or learning institute.  As you mentioned the ISC2 skill builder are quite recent development.

For stepping up, within ISC2 you can look at different certifications ( see what areas interested you) like SSCP, CGRC, HCISSP which only require 2 years of job experience before getting a more senior one like CISSP, CCSP which require 5 year of related experience or CSSLP which require 4 years. ISSAP,  ISSMP and ISSEP are concentration after you have certified for CISSP. This pretty cover all current ISC2 certifications besides CC.

A really great place to earn CPEs is with your local (ISC)2 chapter.  If there's not one near you, look for an ISSA chapter and join them.

Online, a really great place for CPEs is SANS.  Their paid training is monstrously expensive, but their free webinars are a great CPE opportunity.

Also consider Black Hills Information Security (commonly known as BHIS).  They've got some fun and informative webinars about products, and those can be submitted as CPEs as well.

I will echo was someone else said: get with your local infosec orgs.  Local chapters of ISSA, ISC2, ISACA.  Not only will you get CPEs, but you will get something WAY more valuable: networking with your peers, maybe finding a mentor.  You could very well find your future job and/or co-workers there.  Some of these groups also offer training.

Look for local infosec conferences, many of which may be organized by your local ISSA, ISC2, ISACA chapters.  Security BSides Conferences, etc.  Lots of great info, more training, more networking opportunities, etc.

For online stuff, well, ISC2 has their online continuing education, most of which is free to members.  These vary in length and subject.  SANS is a great source for webinars, as is ISSA.  There are also some great podcasts and videos on YT, which you can claim for CPEs.
