MEM-Chapter-Program-Logo-Tagline-Stacked.pngIn most industries, the value of connection and networking are instrumental for career success, personal development, knowledge growth, and peer support. (ISC)² believes in the power of local connection, supporting over 150 chapter groups in 50 countries with 32,000 members and growing. (ISC)² Chapters offer engagement activities, leadership positions, and volunteer opportunities.

Local meetings encourage knowledge enhancement at any career level through expert presentations and networking socials. Throughout the global pandemic, while face-to-face meetings and interactions were put on hold, Chapters shared a new place to connect in the (ISC)² Community. Through the virtual transition, (ISC)² continues to drive opportunities for these groups to succeed in a virtual space by adding more options such as revealing a new advanced officers portal.

Chapter members can earn CPE credits by participating in professional activities, co-sponsored events with other industry associations and speaking at industry events or writing articles for publication.

Volunteering opportunities are available for public service projects. This program encourages Chapters to share their industry knowledge in their communities. These outreach projects aim to educate students and other interested parties about cybersecurity. A key partner in this program is the Center for Cyber Security and Education which utilizes Garfield cartoons and videos to inform youth programs about best practices.

On top of the many engagement opportunities listed, Chapter members can receive special discounts on (ISC)² products and programs. Chapter membership is open to all cybersecurity professionals. Find your chapter in the Chapter Directory and get started today. Don’t see a chapter in your area? Learn how you can start a chapter in your community.

What resources are available to assist with starting a new chapter?   For example, some means to connect members who are interested in starting a new chapter could be useful.
