Is OSCP considered for CISSP CPE's ?

Hi All,

I'm an Associate of isc2 and a newbie to this community.
I'm willing to pursue some hands-on penetration testing experience and registered for PWK (Penetration Testing With Kali Linux) course from Offensive Security.
Can you obtain CPE credit if I pass this certification? If so, how many CPE credits will that account for?

I'm not certain exactly how many you can get for earning that certification, but I do know that it would be in Group A and those are usually 1 credit per hour for domain-related activity. You would submit an estimate of hours of study/preparation in the course, and then submit the certification (after you pass) as proof of the time/activities.

We have our CPE handbook available online if you'd like to review that: https://www.isc2.org/-/media/ISC2/Certifications/CPE/CPE---Handbook-Digital-V2.ashx

I really appreciate your prompt response. I'll take a look at the hand book.

You should be able to claim CPEs for the course itself.  # will be based on the length of the course.

As to the certification, usually when claiming CPEs for a cert is based on the length of the exam, but I can recall if its 1x or 2x (I recall with ISACA I could claim 2x the length of the test).

Check the Handbook.

According to their site, you obtain 40 CPEs for obtaining your OSCP certification.
