Unarine Manari is a seasoned cybersecurity specialist with focus on governance. Her expertise encompasses risk management, information and cybersecurity assurance, gap and maturity assessments, compliance, strategy & policy development and cybersecurity awareness amongst other things. She is currently working as a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist/Researcher in the Defence and Security cluster for the Information and Cyber Security Centre at the CSIR. Her focus lies in promoting effective risk management, fostering a culture of security awareness and aligning information and cybersecurity strategies with overarching business goals, ultimately building resilient and secure digital environments. Driven by a desire to deepen her expertise and contribute to the evolving field of Information and cybersecurity, she is pursuing an MPhil in IT Governance. This academic pursuit allows her to enhance her ability to address complex cybersecurity governance challenges and drive impactful changes within organizations.
