REMINDER: ISC2 Community Decommissioned; Read-Only Mode on Friday

As a reminder, we encourage you to join the new ISC2 Chapters Community where you can join your local chapter, connect with your peers and engage with ISC2 members around the world. Thank you for your engagement here on the ISC2 Community. This platform will be decommissioned as of May 29, 2026.

Effective Friday morning (8am ET), this platform will enter read-only mode as we prepare to wind down the community. You will still be able to browse posts and threads, but will be unable to post replies. You can still private message during this time.

Would have been nice if the posts here could have been ported to the new platform.

@gidyn I did ask if that was possible and told they did not plan on moving everything but that staff have identified a few posts.

One suggestion, is that you identify specific posts are useful, put together a list (I am in that process) and we could request that they be archived.

@mariatirado I was helping someone yesterday with their ISC2 self-study training. They mentioned the online study groups. I have not looked at the chapters that you list as do not have one and am not sure how distributed the information would be. I have looked at information that used to be in semi-monthly publication and didn’t see a reference there either. I also checked the ISC2 Facebook page. Then I double checked my E-mail. What should I tell a person that is studying for their respective exam to do as far as study groups and questions when is indicated in the training? It is listed in the beginning of the training as a soft key link to Connect to Learners. Will prospective certification holders also have a forum(s) for their specific concerns as the training indicates that there is? I have looked and just don’t see that. Your original final message only indicated a hope that people would join chapters but not the study support. I know that things are changing but don’t want to see those studying that I help and others earn their certifications get bad information especially from official training.

I really appreciate you and all have done. I am just hoping that prospective exam takers will have more tools and not less. I will continue to try to stay as informed as can to help others. You know that if I can assist the organization in that support that I will.

Best wishes.

@nkeaton - Thank you so much for raising this and for advocating for exam candidates - we truly appreciate it. At this time, there aren’t ISC2‑hosted study groups or certification‑specific forums built into the new platform. Some chapters do independently facilitate study groups or cohorts, and we encourage learners to connect with others through chapters and the community platform where possible. We know this is an important area, and your feedback is sincerely appreciated as things continue to evolve.

@mariatirado Thank you. I believe that all or most of the self-study training and possibly the scheduled training has the study groups in the introduction for the class. It must be in the CC training for as many posts there are for that group. Not supporting it is fine, but it might be a good idea to revise the training to omit that. I know that I would have doubts if I had just bought training and clicked on that to get a 404 or whatever the url will resolve to. I enjoy helping others meet their goals. I also don’t want ISC2 to look bad for offering something in training and then not having it. Thank you for the kind words. You know that I appreciate you.
