After my last post it really got me thinking.. of the vendors I respected the most, it wasn't the ones with the best deals or best products, but rather those who where honest! When I had a vendor tell me yes we would love your business but this is who you really need, those are the people I remember most... if you do best for your customer they will remember you.. it's not always about the sale but rather about the relation...

I can't agree more.  These kinds of vendors have gotten strong recommendations from me to others who might be fits for their product, and when I have engaged on something new, they are always on my list to reach out to.  One, they are honest, and two, they understand my business well enough to make a recommendation.  That is not a relationship you give up needlessly.
