Community site prompts to accept new privacy policy but let's you log in without accepting

I just came here to the community site, and was greeted with the "Accept our new privacy policy" banner.

 

However, one can still log in to the site without accepting it.

 

I'm guessing it's our nod to GDPR requirements, but kind of worrisome if I can now continue to use the site and *not* be bound by our privacy policy, no?
