Has anyone been involved with volunteer opportunities since being involved with ISC2? Which ones and what benefit do you feel like you received (even if that benefit is just participating and giving back)? I have made 3 presentations using the ISC2 Safe n Secure Online programs for Adults and Seniors (Citizens) at local libraries. These have been well received in my area. The last one even got a little media attention which got more folks to sign up for the class. It was fun, and I feel like I have been able to give back in some small way.
Just wondering how others are using their IT skills to give back in some way, maybe I can do something like it in my area to help too.

Lots and lots.

Teaching, presenting - I tend to learn a lot preparing.
Coaching exam prep - the enthusiasm of candidates is a good boost, and the challenge of the questions keeps you focussed on reality rather than company mandates.
Supporting local groups and chapters - we need each other. (Especially these days.)
Writing - again, learning.
Book reviews - learning, and building resources for newcomers.
Supporting conferences - we need each other.
