Satellites easier to hack than a Windows PC

Hi All

A very interesting piece, brought into context with the environment in which they operate - fascinating.

Exploding myths.

Will the Martians go in through the telescope… Or is it a Venusian saucer dangling a serial cable..?

Many satellites (and moon rovers) have been lost due to software bugs, hardware failures, and "rapid, unscheduled disassembly".  Bad actors, not so much.  Seems like a simple case of risk analysis.

The Indian mission is probably chilled batteries - nuclear isotopes for the win.

Not to mention all the C02 being added to the air to replace them (and grow the fleet).
