Cyberpunk 2077: HelloKitty Ransomware Steals Source Code

CD Projekt Red, the developers of the "blockbuster" game Cyberpunk 2077, announced that an "unidentified actor" trashed their internal systems with ransomware. I know what you are thinking, how could they introduce more application defects into their game? Well HelloKitty did just that! At this point in time there is no intent to pay up. Good for them!

If you're a gamer or you know someone who is, then you probably already know that Cyberpunk 2077 hasn't exactly had the best debut on the scene. Not enough bugs to call a pest control company, but noticeable nonetheless. Now comes news that were able to break into the internal network of the game's developer, CD Projekt. According to The Verge, hackers stole source code for Cyberpunk, Witcher 3, and Gwent. There were also financial, legal and human resources docs that were taken as well.
