Your IoT’s not sick – Someone just turned it into a brick!
Brickerbot is back with a vengeance! The new strain is called "Silex". It's as destructive as it can get without actually frying the IoT device's circuits. Silex works by trashing an IoT device's storage, dropping firewall rules, removing the network configuration, and then halting the device. Once again, the world is shocked to find that IoT devices are vulnerable to all kinds of attacks.
Really? You have to be kidding, surely they have had sufficient warning? Can you imagine the costs of replacing all those dead bricks within Smart Buildings, electronic devices or is this just a brilliant move?
