Vulnerability Management Tools Reviewed

  1. ManageEngine Vulnerability Manager Plus This package includes a vulnerability scanner and all of the tools you need to act on the discovered weaknesses. Available for Windows and Windows Server.
  2. SecPod SanerNow Vulnerability Management This cloud-based system includes a vulnerability scanner and a linked patch manager, among other tools. www.tellculvers.com
  3. OpenVAS This security system is free to use, and its full name is the Open Vulnerability Assessment System. Written for Linux but will run on Windows over a VM

It's not a question that can be answered in the abstract, you need to consider the technologies that you're hoping to scan, your organisations overall IT strategy in terms of what it may implement in the medium term, your budgetary envelope and the likelihood the product you select will be properly supported into the future.
