I'm trying to word this so it doesn't get flagged. Many may remember when the heads of the major tech companies were called in to talk about how to improve security here in the US. My simple question... wouldn't it fix and solve a lot of problems in the US just passed a US version of GDPR? It seems like common sense to me. I kind of wonder if after the top meeting the top people went to a bar after, had a drink and just laughed!
Thoughts?
John-
Simple answer is, very different political environments.
John - I found this interesting site that has a matrix. You select the privacy law (uptp 4) and it does a comparison. It looks like in the US some states have their own versions of GDPR (CA, CO, VA) and other countries like Brazil have separate versions.
