TikTok Banned!

Due to "security risks, the TikTok app is no longer permitted on mobile devices that access Amazon email."

India has already banned it. The US military has banned it. The Aussies are considering it. All because it reads your clipboard and has access to your pictures? Is it a tool for socialist surveillance and a Chinese propaganda machine? Some of the dances might be... US politicians are convinced it is, but its servers are based in the US, not subject to Chinese law...

I have never used TikTok and honestly don't know much about it, but I do believe this has been made into such an issue just because of the link to China. I am sure there are tons of other apps that access the same and worse that no one says anything about because there is no tie to make a big deal out of. What I really find funny is when people claim things like China is out to get the US they fail to realize the out two economies are linked because of the amount of Chinese made products the US buys and consumes. It also amazes me when they make such a big deal about an exploit but fail to mention the probability and impact. Want access to my clip board and pictures, here have at it! You will not find anything of value there. What's that you says they have discoed a way to read the keys you type by monitor something in a light build, who cares, it's not relevant!

End rant... haha

And it should be banned. No questions asked. Its another data aggregation tool for the Chinese government to slurp information, plan espionage and use against people who disagree with them in the future. Really not difficult to understand the whole death by a thousand cut strategy here.

And how does TIkTok handle the growing concern? With lobbying and public relations, of course!

Careful for what you wish for. In this case I hope this Trojan horse has a good set of chock blocks to with it.
