Not sure if anyone has spent the time to go through the latest Workforce Study (first look)
but I found the following chart very interesting:
I am not sure who answered the questions or who they interviewed as hiring managers but I find some of the differences in priorisations interesting especially "Strong Problem solving skills". Years ago when I started my career in Security, it seemed that was one of the key requirements along with the ability to communicate throughout the organisation (meaning all levels........talking techie to techs and talking business to managers.)
I also see in this report that job satisfaction has decreased. My take is that we still have a lot to do to "educate" senior management (the C-Suite) on the need for budget, the need to continually train staff, the need to compensate appropriately, for security personnel and not just for them to knee jerk when something happens.
