We noticed that Mimecast has had its Android App removed from the Google Store. They have provisioned the APK on their website with relevant checksums.
The iOS app seems unaffected at moment. I wanted to ask those that have provisioned the Android app to managed mobile phones and tablets, are you doing the manual route using the APK from the Mimecast site?
Have you done risk evaluations regarding the use of the App going forward?
Keen to know your thoughts. We do have an MDM, but just feel like going a step back on our App management strategy. And bypassing the extra layer of Google security scan is also a disadvantage.
