Maybe, just maybe, the browser wars are over ...

For years there has been a t*i*t (had to edit for the dirty word police) for tat tug of war between two organizations for leadership in new browser technology.  The gorillas, I.e. Apple, MS, Google and Mozilla, that make up WHATWG, have had the ankle biters, represented by W3C and too numerous to list, constantly hindering their new developments. Not anymore.

Hopefully this will allow for more rapid development of browser technology especially for security.

I just hate it when  once meaningful standards body works hard to make itself totally irrelevant.

No standards body will be worth a darn unless ss it can be integrated with the marketplace.
