Google allows you to delete your location data ... in 3 months?

Google has added additional "security" features to their platform:

 

"They will be three options: Erase the data every three months, every 18 months, or keep the data un...  (Someone needs to proof read their articles!)

 

Trouble is a lot can be done with that location-based data in 3 months. How about instantaneous? Or maybe never capture it at the outset? Or better yet do not have the capability to even THINK about capturing where I am?

Better to simply turn off all their tracking.  Do people really have such poor memories that they can't recall where they have been and why would you want to be prompted with distractions when using maps to get directions?  Take back control.
