CCSP - X.509 Certificate

Should the X.500 be X.509 instead, in the following, for Issuer Name?

I believe that X.500 is correct for the Issuer name (which basically identifies the CA (certificate authority)) that signed and issued that particular certificate.

Thank you so much!

I had never heard of X.500 before.

MHOO, I am surprised that the X.500 standard is not covered but then I do not know which course you are taking and probably would have no access to it.

In a nutshell, the X.500 standard is a series of standards that covers electronic directory services.  The most well known is X.509, however there are others (not going to muddy the waters here as I believe you are studying for the CCSP).

Yes, I am taking CCSP.

Thank you for the explanation for X.500!

Yeah, I kind of wished there would have been more coverage of it. At least to let me know what it was. I was very surprised when I saw it.
