@dcontesti  65% increase since 2020.  We certainly have not improved especially with the use of passwords!

But one asks, how many of these accounts are in long term archive?   Or abandoned accounts?

Yes, passwordless authentication is required, but it obviously shows the average Joe Public, the message is simply not getting through. 

The main driver is speed, efficiency of transactions and getting the job done i.e. convenience overrules brain, overrules mind.

We are own worst enemies fueling the cybercrime economy.
