Hello Alaskans!
My name is Timothy Ryan! I am an IT professional up here in the Fairbanks area. I am excited to be a part of the ISC2 and especially apart of a community group like this one. I earned my CC certification on the 8th of June, and then last week completed the CISSP exam. Currently, I am in the processes of trying to get endorsed an all of what that involves.
My background comes from mostly networking and networking security in the DoD or State governments. If I could help anyone with perspective or advice, I am ready to do so!
What I put forth to the group is a couple of questions:
How can I make the best use of a CISSP inside Alaska? What are your guys' experience with security either in the interior or down in the south?
What type of useful tools are available from CISSP? In the form of advice, interesting research, or anything else!
This group is small, but it would be amazing to get know you all as a small facet of Alaska and the ISC community!
