Hi All
What would you do, if you found out your GP had attached your brain to the internet?

@CISOScott Well the brain is made of many neurons, so obviously it is a neural network, with electrical triggers being fired off, a bio chemical one. For one, the endocrine system uses chemical signaling (hormones, produced by glands) while the nervous system uses electrical signaling (neural impulses). The signal transmission of the nervous system is fast because neurons are interconnected, but the functions are more short-lived. So if you were hit by lightening or a Taser, it would have a devastating effect on the system.

Like a a modern automobile, I hope we are not plugged into a diagnostics plug for analysis purposes.

@Caute_cautim so will this be a new elective surgery in the future? You can pay to have an RG-45 port dangling from your head (or just go wi-fi, but password changes are a pain). So the movies are becoming reality? I think it was the movie Total Recall where they could just implant memories into your brain.
Someone once said life imitates art and I am seeing these art forms (books (1984) and movies (Total Recall) being assimilated into our lives......
What would be very interesting is if your password into the device was dependent on performing certain movements that caused different areas of the brain to fire which would then be picked up by the implant and seen as the password. Or maybe even the password could just require thinking of different things in the right order to get different things firing to be seen and picked up in the brain.
