Consent, privacy directives, accuracy, and corrections

So I had to have a call with the doctor.  And she noted that I needed to go to their Website and sign a consent form to continue to deal with stuff over the phone, and so forth, rather than in person.  (I guess someone is panicking about privacy issues and laws and liability.)

So I goofed in one piece of the data I put into the form, and Gloria pointed that out.  There isn't any provision, that I can find, as to how I can correct that error.  (I'm not too concerned about it, since I figure this is the legal equivalent of busy work, and I doubt that it is important.)  I'm used to the fact that everything is my fault, and that there is no way to fix it.

But then I suddenly realized, since this is all about privacy, it's definitely subject to the privacy laws.  And since all the privacy laws (except the US) (even the new Chinese "privacy" law) derive from the original seven principles of the EU privacy directive, there is something in there about "accuracy."  And also the right of the subject to make corrections (at no charge, if I remember correctly).  So, with no correction option, this system is in violation of provincial privacy law or federal privacy law, and likely both.
