I rely on "subscriptions" (which give updates via email) to keep up with the "community" so I don't have to constantly check the Website itself for what's new. All of a sudden, over the past week or so, email notifications have become intermittent, and now they seem to have stopped coming at all. What's happening?

I apologize for the subscriptions not working. I will check in with our vendor to see if there have been any issues like this reported and see what steps they offer to help. I will keep you updated as I hear more over the next couple of days.
Just for further information on it, this is not an intermittent problem at the moment, it seems to be a hard and full stop. I have had no notifications via email of anything (including your reply) since 1520H UTC Friday.
Thank you for this additional information, @rslade. Do you recall going in and updating any of your settings by any chance at the end of last week or over the weekend? Sometimes when the setting of "Ignore posts and reviews I have already read" is checked off, it can cause some issues; however, if you are not receiving any notifications, it seems like a bigger issue. If you want to check this setting though you can do so here to see if it helps at all.
No, I haven't made any changes to my settings recently. I can't recall having done any in months.
I did have "Ignore posts and reviews I have already read" ticked: that must be the default because I don't recall ever having used it. I unticked it. (I can let you know tomorrow if that fixes anything.)
Oddly, "Badges I earn" was set to "never," and I don't recall ever having touched, or even seen, that setting before. I find that very odd. (Settings are randomly setting themselves?)

Boy, with the loss of the subscriptions function, I had forgotten just how annoying it is to try and keep up on the "community." Having to check at least four different areas, reset a default option, extend at least one listing, figure out (with little help) where to start on a listing, and then, like as not, you aren't presented with the new stuff, but simply the top of a thread/topic and have to figure out what's new in that ...
Bring back subscriptions! (How hard can it be to figure out what went wrong?)
Our vendor's support team has been looking into this and testing; however, they have not been able to reproduce this issue. They do have some specific questions that I will email over to you, assuming you would not receive the notification about a message in the Community.

OK, well, *somebody* changed *something* because, as of your posting, all of a sudden I'm getting email notifications again ...

Yup, and I seem to have received them separately: will go and have a look ...
(Oh, and, by the way, as the first attempt at "reply via email" now that it seems to be (somewhat) working again, the message posting failed ...)
