Ridiculous: Tracking pixels in (ISC)2 Member Support emails

Hey there,

After renewal of my AMF I've got a confirmation mail with a receipt and... a TRACKING PIXEL from SalesForce.

<html><body>Your AMF receipt is attached.<img src="https://isc2.my.salesforce.com/servlet/servlet.ImageServer?oid=00D*****&esid=018*********"></body></html>

Have I ever gave an explicit consent to track my email behavior? Never!

Thank you (ISC)2 Member Support for treating my privacy, GDPR and your own Code of Ethics so well!

I'm looking forward you stopping this inappropriate practice.

Do you, my fellow certified security pro, think this is acceptable? Share your opinion please!

Cheers,

Misha

Privacy?

Who gave you the impression that there was any privacy involved with ISC2?
Yes, you're twalking about email, but we've known for years that there was no
privacy on the "community."

We are looking into this. Pixels and other data collection technologies we use are included within our privacy policy at https://www.isc2.org/Policies-Procedures/Privacy-Policy. If you have any questions, Member Support is happy to assist. I know someone on the Member Support team has already reached out to you personally and they will follow up with your directly as we continue to investigate this.
