I personally also prefer numeric score as examination results without passing the exam. It is not easy to understand how near is 'Near' to the 'Above Proficiency Level'. If you only value money and time then it could be good idea to skip another examination. On the other side you can continue learning, getting experience and retaking the exam when you are ready. Passing (ISC)2 examinations can be hard in situations when there exists some gaps in your knowledge or you do not read questions and/or answers carefully.
