I have just recently passed my CISSP exam and I'm trying to get endorsed.
I have currently about 5 years 3 months of experience including internships, but the system automatically rejects my application after submitting:

Hi guys,
I have solved my own problem by searching the internet (reddit).
It appears this is how ISC2 calculates the experience (you'd have to minus 1 month away from each job typically) which explains how my 5 years 3 months is probably about ~4 years 11 months in their calculation (4 jobs rotations).
ISC2 generally requires paid, full-time work experience. Internships may count only if they were paid and involved security-related duties aligned with one or more of the CISSP domains.
If any part of your 5 years 3 months includes unpaid internships or part-time roles, the system may discount those, pushing you below the required 5 years.
As @bfarooq said - the experience does have to meet certain requirements, and it has to correlate to the domains of the credential. If you've not yet gotten the necessary amount of work experience, your application will still be reviewed but you can apply as an Associate of ISC2. You'll have up to 6 years holding that status to get the necessary 5 years of experience to earn CISSP. That may only take you a few more months, and then at that point, you can upgrade your membership to fully certified.
Thanks for the response. I am fully aware of the terms to be certified as a full fledged CISSP holder. Hence I've taken the liberty to go through my work history to ensure that it complies with the requirements.
That being said, I have accumulated 1 year worth of internship experience which relates to being a cybersecurity researcher and also a software security engineer, and i'm sure fits into one of the 8 domains.
Hence, i am puzzled as to why my application got automatically rejected upon submission.
