So this story is not news. We have all too many examples of cyberbullying.
The responses from the two platforms (boiling down to "we are doing everything right") are somewhat disturbing.

A response along the lines of, "we are doing everything possible, but some times things slip through," probably would have been better received.
I'm not quite sure how I feel about this though. I can see the use of a libel, slander, or defamation law suit in this context. I don't know if I like the idea of preventing someone from saying something that is libelous, slanderous, or defamatory except by order of a court. On one had, yeah... she shouldn't have to deal with it because the statements are allegedly false; on the other hand, if it were true he would technically have every right to share it.

Well it exists and the latest report from New Zealand based Netsafe, states it is a NZ $444 Million problem. So what is the societal effects globally or by country. If New Zealand has a population of 4 Million people, potentially it could be far higher than the cost of compliance per annum.
