Have we sanitized death?
In days gone by, infant mortality was at a very high percentage. Mothers dying in childbirth, not uncommon. Death in war, the norm. Death by disease, commonplace.
Are we now less able to face our own mortality? Do we bury our heads in the sand? Can we no longer accept that death is the hunter?
That death is the norm?

Dark? Yes, and most are scared of the dark, so we want to bury our heads in the sand. The COVID issue is forcing us to think about that which we would rather not.
